We Chose Play is a series documenting one family’s Floortime journey. With each episode, you’ll glean insights, tips, and reflections–what I learned and what I know now that I would tell myself back then, along the way. In Season 1, we share our experience understanding this approach, its mindset prerequisites, our learning, and applying Floortime. You’ll see many Floortime videos and coaching, along with tips from DIRFloortime® Expert Training Leaders. In Season 2, you’ll see our adventures with Floortime intensives at Maude Le Roux‘s DIR® clinic, A Total Approach, Floortime videos, and more. I hope that We Chose Play will support your Floortime experience!

This episode’s PRACTICE TIP:
Let’s reflect on our feelings of regret and blame around our child’s diagnosis.
For example: Do you have thoughts about having done something wrong during your pregnancy? Do you blame yourself for not applying services sooner, or knowing about different services? Are you ruminating about why your child has challenges? Let’s put some of Dr. Platzman’s words of wisdom into action and focus on the present and what we can do now, seeing the strengths in your child.
